Propogating Propaganda

What is a propaganda? Well, to make a long story short, a propaganda is the deliberate attempt of one to influence another to follow your way...it's kinda scary, actually. When you think about it, there are propagandas being dished out everytime and everywhere. Advertisements, TV and most of the mainstream media are out to influnce its audience.

According to Elizabeth Zachariah (ME!!), we, the audience have to be strong in our own judgments and be opinionated and of course not be easily swayed by the slightest attempt of one to change your mind. If you're the type to get easily influenced, chances are that you are always a victim of a propaganda...in one way or another. We the audience should try to make sure if what we hear in the news everyday has any truth in it or is the news a deliberate attempt of some politician to sabotage his opponent, or if that skin cream really does erase wrinkles.

If we at least try to do that, then we can be sure that we won't be easily propogated by propagandas..

A Field Trip

Last week, my friends and I went on a trip to Kuala Perlis to have a seafood dinner. We left UUM at 8.30pm and reached before 9pm..Aaron drove like a maniac. Boy, was it fun or what!! We ordered 6 dishes plus rice and all of us agreed it was the most satisfying meal that we've had in months!! We ate fried sotong, salad yu char koay, vege, steamed fish, kerabu vege and tauhu..gosh just thinking of it makes me hungry all over again!

After that wonderful meal, we all took loads of pictures as this would be one of our last trips with the seniors who are graduating this sem..so sad. Took pictures with just about everyone and we all really had loads of fun with Aaron's crazy antics.

We left at 10.30 and reached UUM at 11.10. We would have reached earlier if it weren't for Aaron's emergency stop near some bushes to ease himself..haha. All in all, it was a great day..looking forward to more days like that.

Isn't that such a simple, yet beautiful poem? It really touched my heart when I read it, probably cos I really felt heartbroken at that time so I kinda knew what the poet was feeling when she wrote it. I'll never understand the matter of the heart. Don't know why I feel this horrible feeling inside of me now? Don't know how to stop this aching heart...But I know this.. God will never desert me so I know I can always find my solace with Him.
